The northern Spanish region of Rioja produces an enormous quantity of wine, most of it red. There is a confusing range of styles and quality, and the producer's reputation and house style are important. Remondo are fairly modern in outlook, with clean winemaking and fruit driven styles.
This 60/40 blend of grenache and tempranillo has moderate oak influence and lots of crunchy, medium weight red fruit. Great with antipasto and cheeses, and it will handle a bit of chill if you're drinking it on a hot day.
