Year: 2017 Appellation: Chablis Region: Burgundy Country: France Style: Dry
The tiny, frost-affected 2017 vintage in Chablis was definitely not one to remember. Many growers lost almost all their crop to spring frosts. It helps if you have older vines to work from. This well known cuvée from Domaine Vocoret - with the distinctive tin label - is a standout wine. It comes from two vineyards adjacent to premier crus sites, so although village status, you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Bring on the oysters, or try it with sushi. And not too cold... let it get up to 10-12° C to let the fruit do its thing!
