YEAR: 2006 VARIETAL: Shiraz APPELLATION: Barossa Valley REGION: South Australia COUNTRY: Australia STYLE: Dry
DESCRIPTION: If you’re looking for classic old vine Barossa Shiraz with some bottle age - look no further! From the famed Greenock sub-region of the Barossa Valley, this concentrated, richly textured red still has plenty of primary black fruit. The extensive bottle age has beautifully integrated fruit, oak and tannin, meaning the overall balance is perfect. This wine is fully mature right now, but not going anywhere anytime soon due to the screwcap seal. You might say it’s plateauing perfectly!
Secret label note: The Italian family name Zitta translates to “quiet”, and if you look closely at the label you’ll notice that the reflection of the name Zitta is actually the word quiet - albeit upside down and back to front.
