YEAR: 2017 Appellation: Bourgogne Rouge Region: Burgundy Country: France Style: Dry red
It can be difficult finding good value red Burgundy, but this lovely wine from Lucien Muzard & Sons fits the bill.
Red fruits dominate the nose, with a little coffee spice and crunchy acidity. 70% of the wine is given 12 months in oak barrels, 15% of which are new keeping the balance just right. This wine is also a rarity in that it is bottled under screwcap (for Australasia only), ensuring freshness and precision. A bargain.
