Year: 2019 Appellation: Geelong Region: Victoria Country: Australia Style: Dry
In true Côte Rôtie style, this wine has a tiny amount of viognier co-fermented with the shiraz. A mere 2-4% depending on vintage just lifts the aromatics, particularly when young. This wine is not meant to be a massive Aussie shiraz; its hallmarks are elegance, length, and perfumed bouquet. Ideally, you need to wait a wee while for those three things to come together. Say another 2-3 years?
WHich means you should probably buy something else as well to drink while you're waiting...
