From Valdobbiadene ("Val-doh-bee-AHH-den-ay"), one of the two top villages of the Prosecco producing region - the other being nearby Conigliano.
Confusingly, the Italian term 'Extra Dry' actually describes a sparkling wine that is off-dry (i.e. not quite as dry as 'brut'). Perhaps this is where Prosecco has it's undeserved reputation for beeing sweet?
But this is definitely not sweet! Aromatic intensity on the nose, gives way to a light yet elegant palate. Ideal aperitivo wine, perfect for Bellinis or just on its own.
