The southern Italian red grape primitivo is one and the same as California’s zinfandel. Both are descended from an obscure Croatian grape. And both love warm, dry climates producing big, softly tannic reds with intense raspberry fruit and savoury, herbal edges. This pack contains two wines from Puglia, an entry level from Varvaglione and a more serious example from Masca del Tacco - plus Australia’s original zinfandel flag bearer, Cape Mentelle.
